He worked for Carl Fischer in Chicago in 1915, with Rudolph Wurlitzer from 1916 1920, and William Lewis from 1920 1923. In 1923, Voit established his Chicago shop with Leroy Geiger and he died in 1952. Leroy F. Geiger, born in 1900, started making violins in Grinnel, Iowa and then worked for Carl G.
