we carefully paint the canvas  edges with several coats of the same paint used on the tray frame

The tray frame is hand painted

This means the picture can be cleaned with a damp cloth

but that was never going to work

This image is a collage nearly 100 little pics taken whilst walking around the Shard viewing platform through perhaps 30 different windows and from different viewpoints.
