Train your staff to see those commercial benefits
Organisations that are new to the environmental agenda will need to get up to speed. Those that have been doing it for a while should ensure their staff are engaged. Training is a great way forward.
Whether it’s an intro to environmental management, audit team preparation, how to calculate a carbon footprint or help for your Green Champions, ESHCon provides a number of training opportunities.
Our one-day introductory course is for all staff and managers, and a three-day course is specifically for those taking on environmental responsibilities. Both provide qualifications from the CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health).
Attend a scheduled course or arrange a course on-site for your company.
CIEH Training Courses
Environmental Principles & Best Practice – A one-day course giving an introduction to environmental issues, EMS, improvement activities and cost savings.
Environmental Management – A more in-depth three-day course, where participants will gain an understanding of environmental issues, seeing the benefits and relevance to their company. Begin to plan for an Environmental Management System and identify activities that give environmental improvements and cost savings.
Who would benefit from these courses?
Get those with environmental responsibilities up to speed.
Particularly relevant for organisations new to environmental management, or indeed have new staff or a new role. A good introduction to get them going in their role.
Involve all of your staff and get them involved.
Good for organisations that may have an EMS in place but need to engage all staff more. Perhaps it should be part of the induction programme for new starters. Or train up your Green Champions to give them more confidence in their duties.
Run a session for your suppliers.
Ensure your suppliers are supporting your environmental commitments. Inform them of the issues and engage them in your work.
